Back in 2011, Cornerstone released their sophomore album Somewhere In America. Ravenheart Music had this to say about the disc, "This album offers 10 tracks of easy listening rock music in a style that would make many a Melodic Rock Fan very happy indeed. Certainly a worthy 9/10." One of the album's ballads, "Right or Wrong", was chosen by British Rock Realms Magazine as the "Ballad of the Year" (2012) after strong UK radio play throughout 2011. In 2013, Cornerstone released their version of "Smalltown Boy" (by Bronski Beat) in support of research and treatment of cystic fibrosis at the Nottingham City Hospital, under the "Room to Breathe" campaign.
