ATOM Artist Profile - CornerstoneCornerstone... Here to ROCK the world! By: Scott Kinnison
After that CD release, the band did numerous tours of Europe and America. Cornerstone was able to do a mixture of headlining club shows and sharing larger stages with acts such as John Waite (Babys, Bad English), Iron Maiden's Dennis Stratton, Ted Poley from Danger, Danger and American singer/songwriter Jeffrey Gaines, just to name a few. They also participated in the UK based Z Rock Festival in 2009. Cornerstone is back in 2011 with their sophomore release Somewhere In America. Ravenheart Music had this to say about the new disc, “This album offers 10 tracks of easy listening rock music in a style that would make many a Melodic Rock Fan very happy indeed. Certainly a worthy 9/10.” Strutter magazine praised the new CD by saying, “Patricia Hillinger has a great voice and together with strong production and a bunch of catchy tunes, this (Somewhere In America) is a very pleasant CD to listen to.” In European and American press, the band has been drawing comparisons to American musical giants Fleetwood Mac & Journey. One quick listen of Cornerstone’s new CD and you’ll know the band is worthy of such comparisons. The band does a great job of sounding modern, edgy and providing melodies that stick in your head for days.
